Trip Details

This itinerary is a sample only - the exact itinerary and daily distances of your trip will be dictated by factors such as weather and group strength, with the guides working within the parameters of safety and time.



Day 1

Land at Belize City, then go through customs to Maya Island Air. The Maya flight takes 30-40 minutes to Placencia. A local representative will be waiting for you and will show you to your hotel. The afternoon is yours to settle in and explore. At dinner we will get to know our fellow travelers and go over plans for the week ahead.

Day 2

After breakfast, we will head out to the Cayes in a local power boat. This first day will allow us plenty of time to prepare our kayaks and to cool off in the Caribbean with our first snorkel.

Days 3 - 6

We will travel amongst some of the most beautiful small islands in the world. There will be ample opportunities to snorkel, fish and swim in addition to kayaking. Alternatively, you can just relax in your hammock and watch the sun go down into the Caribbean Sea.

Day 7

This will be our last day in this peaceful world. We will kayak in the morning and then take a power boat back to Placencia. After a refreshing shower and hearty meal, the evening will be one of music and dancing with our Belizean friends.

Day 8

After an incredible week of kayaking, we bid farewell. An early or mid-morning flight will take you back to the Belize City airport.

You will enjoy lots of fresh seafood for dinner, skillfully prepared by your guides. For lunch we usually serve cold cuts, bread and crackers, veggies and plenty of fresh fruit.
